Don Alfonso – Sant’Agata – Sorrento

Location
Situated on the Sorrento peninsula in Sant’Agata there is the elegant Hotel Don Alfonso, between two beautiful gulfs – gulf of Naples and Salerno. Perched among the hills, about 10 kilometres from Sorrento, the hotel can be reached through vineyards, lemon groves, vegetable gardens and olive groves. The Hotel Don Alfonso is known for its excellent cuisine.

Hotel
It is an ancient residence dating back to 1800 and since ever the Don Alfonso hotel has hosted several famous guests including writers, politicians and artists. Today it is a luxury hotel dip into a flower garden, furnished with antiques and Murano chandeliers, equipped with all the comforts for a holiday based on nature materials, good food and Napolitan culture.

Restaurant
The Don Alfonso Restaurant is not just a place to eat; there is a philosophy and a lifestyle behind. The two chefs, Alfonso and Ernesto, create their dishes inserting novelties into traditions, in a mixture of flavours deeply tied to the land and using products with best quality. In the white halls, furnished with antiques, hand-painted majolica and Murano glass chandeliers, tradition and modernity are skilfully mixed. The combination of flavours finding in the dishes offered by the chefs, able to impress the most discerning palates. The products quality used for cooking are guaranteed as many products are taken from “Le Peracciole” the property farm.

Rooms
The room types are four suites and four junior suites. All of them have antique furniture with typical Neapolitan style, that characterizes the Relais Don Alfonso. Moreover each room is named after an aromatic plant, that guests will find in the rich garden of the Hotel Don Alfonso.

The Suites (around 50 sqm) – all different, are decorated with light colours, antique furniture and modern design. The bathrooms have the typical hand painted majolica ceramic floor, a Jacuzzi tub and a separate shower. Further the Suites have a double bed, air condition, satellite TV, internet access, WI-FI, safe, hairdryer, mini bar.
The Junior Suites (around 32 sqm) – all different, are decorated with light colours, antique furniture and modern design. The bathrooms have the typical hand painted majolica ceramic floor and a Jacuzzi tub. Further the Junior Suites have a double bed, air condition, satellite TV, internet access, WI-FI, safe, hairdryer, mini bar.

Facilities & Activities
For guests relax, the swimming pool and the beautiful gardens are available for strolling among the scents of flowers and Mediterranean plants. For those wishing to learn the secrets of Don Alfonso cuisine, a gourmet stocked library is free use for the guests; the chefs will also be available for cooking classes in the new laboratory set up inside the Borgo.
