Luxury Villa
Once as a bishop residence, today a luxury Palace. Earlier this mansion was a place of merchandise trade – spices, textiles and wood goods imported from the Middle East – and a place of encounter and exchange between different cultures. During the époque of Baroque this palace was luxuriously decorated with various heritages coming from far lands. Going up from the district called Li Parlati, up the 118 steps, passing through fragrances and colours of the gardens with perfumed citrus trees, reaching the big gate and enter into the baronial inner courtyard of the Palazzo Santa Croce.
Rooms
Exclusive and addressed to a selected clientele, Palazzo Santa Croce has just four rooms: two Suites on the first floor, one dedicated to Alfonso of Aragon and the other to Alfonso’s wife Isabella. All characterized by spectacular painted ceilings and wall frescoes. The two Junior Suites on the second floor, are enchanting by a sloping ceiling and by traditional wooden beams.
Restaurant
The dining and relax room consists of two ambient and are decorated with beautiful paintings, representing scenes from Alessandro Magno’s life. There are monumental modern chairs and armchairs, where guests can relax leafing through the ancient books provided by the library. Contribute to the charm of the room are the old walnut tree dining table and the Neapolitan Rococo mirror.
As an alternative to the dining room, the kitchen can be used for dining too: a mixture of modernity and tradition, embellished by the monumental fireplace and the great Baroque sideboard, is also equipped with a bread oven and a pizzas oven.
Beauty Centre „Salus Pur Aquam“
An entire floor of the castle is dedicated to the care of the body with the Calidarium and the Frigidarium of the old patrician houses, modern replaced by the sauna, Turkish bath, shower and spaces for relax and massages, solarium and Jacuzzi on external terrace. A swimming pool with water jet on different levels is located on the ground floor and the ceiling decoration is covered with the typical local majolica paintings.
Facilities & Activities
With the intention of recreate the atmosphere of “La Dolce Vita” of Positano, the hotel offers the "San Salvatore", the original Gozzo Sorrentino '50s, originally used as fishing boat, and used by the fishermen of Positano on August 15th for the Procession of the Madonna di Positano. Thanks to the skipper experience, guests will discover the Costa delle Sirene, enjoying a cocktail at Galli island, waiting for the sunset testing themselves with the old tricks of the traditional fishing.
