Location
The Hotel San Montano is surrounded by a park full of colours and scents and seems to hang suspended between sky and sea and the breathtaking sea view nearly overwhelms the senses. From here it is possible to see Naples, the Vesuvius, the peninsula of Sorrento, Mount Epomeo, the island of Ventotene and the Flegrean Coast.
Hotel
The original furniture of the hall is old navy style recycled from old ship demolitions. Interiors feature everywhere mahogany, brass and leather furniture. A gambling hall, a TV hall and a reading area are also part of the common areas.
The sun shines down brightly over the outdoor pools from dawn to sunset. An indoor tunnel connects the thermal water pool with whirls and the hotel for a wallow in the pleasantly warm water (between 32° and 37° C) even in the cold winter days. The sea water swimming pool is 1 to 3 m deep. Not far from the pool a natural sauna vents steam in a grotto dug out of the rock.
The facilities of the park include bowling, private parking lot, natural sauna and aromatic walking.
The hotel amenities include free access to the most beautiful beach on the island, San Montano Beach, including shuttle bus and towel.
Rooms
Bedrooms at the Hotel San Montano are furnished in old navy style furniture. The quality of bedrooms is of the highest standards and almost all of them have a balcony or terrace offering breathtaking views over the sea and area. The hotel disposes of 74 rooms. Accommodation ranges from standard, comfort, deluxe and superior bedrooms to junior suites and suites. Some single occupancy bedrooms are also available. All rooms are equipped with TV, safe, air conditioning and mini bar.
• The six standard rooms enjoy park view or look onto the surrounding hills, no balcony;
• The 9 single rooms have a French bed and garden view;
• The 14 comfort rooms enjoy hill or park view;
• All 20 deluxe rooms have sea view;
• The nine superior rooms enjoy fantastic sea view and are more spacious. Some of them have a Jacuzzi;
• The 14 junior suites feature a lower level living room and an upper level bedroom and two bathrooms;
• The only 2 single-level suites consist of a wider living room, which can communicate with a deluxe bedroom, and two bathrooms.
Thalasso & SPA
Guests who want to spend a holiday taking care of themselves can, under constant medical supervision, have mud baths and hydrotherapeutic cures. Among the treatments available the guest can chose between inhalation therapies and muscle rehabilitation treatment, manual and mechanic relaxing and tonifying massage, lymphatic drainage. Exclusive beauty treatments based on the products of doctor Perricone and Jean D’Arcel and on innovative equipments. Facilities include also a well–equipped fitness centre with qualified trainers, traditional Finnish sauna, Turkish bath, special showers, sun shower, indoor pool for treatment and Kneipp bath.
The lush green park of Hotel San Montano hosts numerous varieties of aromatic plants. Thanks to the healing properties of the essential oils, resins and active ingredients found in these plants guests will soon experience a new well–being.
Restaurants & BARS
The restaurant at the Hotel San Montano serves an exciting blend of refined and regional cuisine prepared with the best local products and boasts also an extensive wine list. Lunch is a la carte, while the dinner menu is rich and varied. Desserts are one of our prides: they are prepared daily and include the best of the Neapolitan and international tradition. Customized menu plans can be arranged in compliance with the instructions given by the Terme San Montano staff. The shaded outdoor restaurant is open from early spring. The pool bar is open from morning to late night and serves also snacks and salads. From the bar on the terrace it is possible to enjoy a magic sunset view while sipping a drink from our first-class selection. Guest can also enjoy the notes of the piano bar.
